Documentary: Manufacturing Consent

Last week's documentary was one of my favourite movies of Noam Chomsky, Manufacturing Consent: Noam Chomsky and the Media. This documentary was released in 1992 but it still fully applies to the mass media today.

Chomsky argues that mass media are profit-driven corporations, which push forward the agendas of society's dominant elite groups.

Think of that the next time you switch on "the tube", if you have one that is. If instead (like me) you rather surf the net, there's plenty of stuff to suit every mood at YouTube.com.

Go internet! :]
