Destination Police State

The Independent
Britain will be first country to monitor every car journey
"Britain is to become the first country in the world where the movements of all vehicles on the roads are recorded. A new national surveillance system will hold the records for at least two years."

Times Online
Nationwide spy system to track millions of car journeys a day
"The system will automatically alert police if a car is stolen, if road tax has not been paid, if the MoT is out of date or if the driver is uninsured."

Dailly News
'Big Brother' plan for UK road network
"The massive database of 35 million number plates per day will be installed in Hendon, north London, by March 2006 with plans already afoot to increase the storage period to five years."

The Independent
Surveillance UK: why this revolution is only the start
"The new national surveillance network for tracking car journeys, which has taken more than 25 years to develop, is only the beginning of plans to monitor the movements of all British citizens. The Home Office Scientific Development Branch in Hertfordshire is already working on ways of automatically recognising human faces by computer, which many people would see as truly introducing the prospect of Orwellian street surveillance, where our every move is recorded and stored by machines."

Yahoo news
Big Brother' scheme for road network
"Every car journey in Britain will be monitored from next year under a nationwide scheme covering all motorways, main roads, towns, cities, ports and petrol stations, a report said."

Once again we watch quietly while our rights are being gently stolen away.

911 - A dolorosa verdade

"We realize there is no change for the better unless people unite to make it happen. This has been proven time and again throughout history. The most important societal improvements have always come from grassroots movements: The PEOPLE insisted. Remember, the politicians didn't lead, they followed, once they knew their constituencies insisted upon change." ~ reopen911.org

Alex Jones - It's time to wake up

Alex Jones is a journalist, a broadcaster and a film maker. He hosts a radio show and has produced several documentaries on the New World Order (NWO). His passion for uncovering and fighting against government corruption can be seen as an inspiration or a threat depending on how much you care about the state of the world today. Below is a short speech of him followed by a few questions and answers.

Secret Government

There's an excellent documentary by Bill Moyers about the Secret Government of the United States. It looks a bit outdated but it's still a pretty good picture of what's going on today. It saddens me how nothing seems to have changed.

The film is split into two parts - Part I and Part II - make sure you watch both.

Solariso Alegre

American empire (not) in denial

"We have about 60 per cent of the world's wealth but only 6.3 per cent of its population. Our real task in the coming period (will be) to maintain this position of disparity. We need not deceive ourselves that we can afford the luxury of altruism and world benefaction ... the day is not far off when we are going to have to deal in straight power concepts. The less we are hampered then by idealistic slogans the better."
~ George Kennan, head of U.S. State Department Planning, Feb 24, 1948.

"Everyone has the right to be like Americans, it would seem. Now that they're like Rome, the Americans would be doing as the Romans did. America may be like Rome, but many Americans are not like Romans. And Bush himself is more cowboy than Caesar."
~ commondreams.org

"...if you look at what the US has long tried to do - expand the global reach of free markets and ultimately representative government - it bears an uncanny resemblance to what he characterises as the project of Victorian Imperialism."

Tax-slavery

"It is now time to end this hoax upon the American people by their own government, and to end corporate-socialism and tax-slavery, and to return power to the individual. It is time for creative mankind to remove this yoke from its neck, and to move forward with a truly new world order of creative, laissez-faire capitalist civilization, with a free flow of beneficially creative ideas, associations, and products among mankind, in a peaceful world, peopled by creative, free, autonomous and self-sufficient individuals, whose bounty can provide for all. We have nothing to lose except stupidity."
~ William R. Lyne
